PC Magazine Guide to Notebook and Laptop Computers comprises two parts (as well as a disk with utility programs of interest to laptop users, which is described later). Even if you've bought laptops before, you'll be surprised at how quickly the market changes. I'm a firm believer that you can't have too much information. I've bought or specified laptops for myself, for friends, and for relatives on more than two dozen occasions in the past few years, written more than a dozen articles, and won a pair of Computer Press Association awards for my writing on portable computers and still I learn new things every time I get involved in the buying process.
