Brief Atlas of the Human Body
This Brief Atlas contains images from some of the world's best medical atlases. It provides a manageable overview of the human body in an easy-to-use size and format. The reader will find it helpful for learning in both the lecture/discussion part of the course and in the laboratory part of your anatomy and physiology course. Part 1 Surface Anatomy provides a brief overview of the surface structures of the body. Part 2 The Skeleton features a number of detailed photographs of the human skeleton. Part 3 Internal Anatomy provides a survey of helpful images of the inside structures of the body. Part 4 Cross-Sectional Anatomy features an introductory set of horizontal (transverse) sections of the human body. Part 5 Histology is a mini-atlas of some of the major types of tissues found in the body.
