Financial performance of a company is one of the factors that are seen by investors to determine where the investor will invest. For companies, maintaining and improving financial performance is a must in order to stocks that are traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange remains attractive to investors. Du Pont Analysis System was used to assess the financial performance of a company by combining the balance sheet and income statement to get a rate of return that is Return on Investment (ROI). Return on Investment (ROI) is calculated by multiplying the Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and Net Profit Margin (NPM).
The purpose of this study was to determine the financial performance of PT Adaro Energy Tbk in 2008-2012 to see the development of Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and Net Profit Margin NPM) approach Du Pont System.
The method used in this research is descriptive research method with a quantitative approach, which emphasizes the use of data in the form of figures are processed and then analyzed descriptively, which analyzes the development of Total Assets Turnover (TATO), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Return on Investment (ROI).
Results from this research that the average Return on Investment (ROI) of PT Adaro Energy Tbk 2008-2012 amounted to 6,767%. Average Return on Investment (ROI) can be said to be very good because it is above the average Return on Investment (ROI) company mining subsector 2008-20012 years listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the amount of -143 627%.
